Method 1: Bank Transfer
Step 1: Open the Monkey Money app on your device.
Step 2: Select the "Add ACH Account" option in the main menu.
Step 3: Follow the on-screen instructions and click "Continue".
Step 4: Choose your preferred bank from the provided list.
Step 5: Log in using the credentials of your bank account that you want to connect to your Monkey Money account.
Step 6: After completing the connection, return to the registered ACH accounts section.
Step 7: Select your newly connected bank account.
Step 8: Enter the amount you wish to deposit and add a description if necessary.
The money will be deposited into your account within 3 business days.
Method 2: Green Dot® Deposit:
Step 1: Open the Monkey Money app.
Step 2: In the top right corner of the home page, locate the geolocation button (a circle with an arrow in the middle).
Step 3: Click on the "Green Dot®" option.
Step 4: Allow the app to access your location for greater accuracy.
Step 5: Under "Filters," select "Deposit Cash with Card" to find the store with cash deposit service.
Step 6: Go to the nearest store offering cash deposit service
Step 7: Upon arrival at the store, consult a clerk to initiate the cash deposit via Green Dot®.
In smaller stores (like 7-Eleven), approach the cashier. In larger stores (like Walmart), go to the Customer Service area.
Step 8: Inform the clerk that you wish to make a deposit into your bank account: "I wish to deposit X dollars into my bank account." Provide your physical Monkey Money card, the desired cash amount, and the transfer fee.
The minimum deposit amount via Green Dot® is $20 and the maximum is $500.
The deposit fee can be up to $4.95. It varies depending on the chosen store.
Step 9: The clerk will provide you with information about the next steps and the estimated time for the money to be credited to your account.
